Job Responsibilities / Key Result Areas (KRAs)
·         To proactively network, interact & liase with various external stakeholders e.g Government bodies, regulators, nodal bodies, competitors, academics, NGO’s etc in all the different states in India where company has a business interest
·         Work cross-functionally to coordinate analysis and development of company policy positions.
·         Write convincing and coherent position papers, testimony, and other policy-related documents to support company lobbying, market development, project development and other activities both in the US and in other markets. 
·         Work with various Business Groups, GA and others to identify management consultants, environmental consultants and others who influence policy decisions in the country.
·         Educate policy consultants, management consultants, environmental consultants and others who influence policy decisions about company environmental and corporate value propositions.
·         Provide assistance as needed to Director Public Affairs, India related with respect to work being undertaken in India & foreign markets including drafting of presentations and other documents; country analysis; research on government policies; preparation of background papers.
·         Respond to relevant external and internal requests for information.
·         Effectively partner with other members of the  team and senior leadership to promote company interests both internally and externally.

Job Requirements (Qualifications/Certifications/Experience/Skills etc.)

·         Demonstrated detailed knowledge of policy and regulatory issues confronting the renewable energy sector; especially at state level
·         Able to perform legal, legislative, and academic research;
·         Able to compile and analyze data from a variety of sources;
·         Able to work effectively with senior leadership
·         Write effective communications to business leaders, external organizations, and political officials;
·         A team player who is able to work closely with colleagues in all stages of policy and strategy development and implementation.Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
·         Able to work successfully cross-functionally and to elicit needed information and feedback from time-constrained executives within a fast-paced corporate environment.
·         Understanding of environmental sustainability issues.
·         Strong communications skills—both written and oral with computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)etc
·         Additional regional language skills a plus.
·         Able to work independently with minimal supervision and to coordinate from a distance with other company offices. Creative thinker with the ability to make decisions and execute effectively.
·         Advanced interpersonal, influencing, consulting, analytical, and problem solving skills required.
·         Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated high level of accountability for commitments and ability to take tasks through to completion.
·         Willing and able to travel internationally as required.
·         Highest levels of integrity and work ethic.
